A wet and windy puppy show didn't deter the die hard who turned out to see this year's young entry. Judges were Major C. J. Seed M.F.H (Master to the Avon Vale) and D. Jones Esq (Huntsman to the David Davis).

 

6 couple of doghounds were presented, along with 5 1/2 couple of bitches.

 

Doghounds:

 

Driver, Deacon, Dragon, Druid, Dexter, Danger, Dublin, Norfolk, Norman, Newport, Bouncer and Buzzard

 

Bitches:

 

Daring, Candy, Cowslip, Cadbury, Careful, Coffee, Nightly, Nancy, Brenda, Bertha and Biscuit.

 

Best Doghound: Dragon (walked by the Hall Family)

Best Bitch: Bertha (walked by Miss K Hilman)

 

Champion: Bertha           Reserve: Dragon

 

Tea was served in the marquee following the show where several presentations were made. Hunt buttons were presented to Mrs Shirley Crowther, Mr Neil Jones and Mrs Clare Ashcroft. Mr Mark Barthorpe was presented with a gift from following his retirement from the Hunt committee. The gift was in acknowldgement of his hard work and dedication to the Hunt for many years.
